Citrio looks like Chrome a lot. Is there any relation between Citrio and Chrome?

Citrio browser is based on the Chromium open source project - the same one, on which the Chrome browser is built. This explains the similarity of basic features and interface. Chromium project allows its code to be used in other software to foster further development and improvement. There is no other relation between Citrio and Chrome, but for the common Chromium source code.

Who is a developer of Citrio? Where are the developers based?

Citrio is developed by Catalina Group Ltd, which has several offices around the world. The headquarters is in California, SF. However, most developers are based in Kyiv, Ukraine.

What is the relation between Epom Ltd. and Citrio?

Epom Ltd. is an exclusive distributor of Citrio.

Why is Citrio better than other browsers?

Citrio has all the basic functionality of Chrome plus a range of its own unique features. Citrio has an inbuilt download manager and a download accelerator, which allows to download files of any size even with the slow or tethering Internet connection.

Citrio comes with a video grabber with which you can download your favorite videos from all most popular online video websites.

If you want to browse anonymously, Citrio has an inbuilt solution for that as well. You can enter and save the desired proxy server credentials and use the settings for further browsing.

Is Citrio safe to use?

Citrio is absolutely free from any malware or adware. If you download Citrio from our official website, be sure that it is safe and clean.

What if I don’t like the default search engine/start page? Can I change them?

Ask.com is the official partner of Citrio so the default search engine is Ask as well as a start page. If you want to try out/use Citrio, but don’t want to use Ask, proceed with installation anyway. You can change a search engine/start page later.

To change the home page:

Go to Settings.
Find “Appearance”
Click “Change” near home.citrio.com/ below the Show Home button option.
Enter the desired home page in the field near the “Open this page” option.
Hit “OK”.

To change the search engine:

Go to Settings.
Find “Search”.
Hit “Manage search engines...”
Choose the search engine you like from the list and click “Make default”. You can also delete the search engine you don’t like. If the desired search engine is not on the list, you can add it manually.

What is a standalone installer Citrio?

If you download a standalone installer of Citrio it won’t need any Internet connection later, during the installation process. You can download offline installer if you are not going to install Citrio right away, and you are not sure whether you will have a good Internet connection later. The regular installer is lighter, but during the installation it will need to grab some components from the Internet. It is up to you to decide what installer to choose, the program installed to your computer will still be the same in any way.

How to uninstall Citrio?

To uninstall Citrio, go to Start menu and start typing “Uninstall” in a search box. Select “Uninstall a program”. Alternatively, you can find the same option directly in the Control panel. Choose Citrio from the list. Click “Uninstall”.
